Problems with "Using cached folder information while attempting to connect"

Greetings everyone,

I am having problems while testing out evolution-brutus brutus server connectivity.

When using evolution I get

evolution-mail-WARNING **: Error occurred while existing dialogue active:
Warning: Using cached folder information while attempting to connect

It shows up as an error in the program. The above is the message on stderr.

I am directly connected to the brutus server:
traceroute to 172.17.200.242 (172.17.200.242), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets
1 172.17.200.242 (172.17.200.242) 16.002 ms 16.002 ms 16.002 ms

Any ideas? Do you need more logs/information?

Best regards,
Christian

Please follow the instructions below, restart Evolution and send the
resulting ".brutus-logd/brutus.log" file to the list.

Thanks,
jules

###################
To tell evolution-brutus to
generate the log just create a file named ".brutus-do-debug" in your
home
directory. It doesn't need to be a regular file. It could be a
directory or a
link.

All log output will be appended to "~/.brutus-logd/brutus.log" by the
Brutus Log
daemon. Please append this file to all bug reports and describe how to
reproduce
the problem if possible.

You can tell the log daemon to restart itself and start all over with
an empty
log file. Just send SIGUSR2 to the log daemon:

$ kill -s USR2 $(cat ~/.brutus-logd/brutus-logd.pid)

Hi,

I have done that already.

***@disaster-vmware2:~$ ls -lah | grep debug
-rw-r--r-- 1 christianh christianh 0 2008-06-24 16:51 .brutus-do-debug

I have also restarted the log daemon.

It still gives the same log file as my previous e-mail attachment. I will attach the new log though.

Thanks,
Christian

Is there really nothing else in the log? Very sparse I must say...
Anyway, what does the server log tell you? You should also look into
the event viewer on the server side. Very early errors (occurring
before the logging framework is started) is logged here.

Please send the server log.

jules

Hi,

No, that is really everything that is in there :)

Here is the server log.

Event viewer looks fine. No reports of problems.

Thanks,
Christian

Hi Christian,

you can try to increase verbosity, by uncommenting the last lines in
the brutus.conf file at the Brutus-server.
In that file are all the information you need to do it.

At least that is what I would do, if I were you :)

Hmm... I can see that your client isn't even talking to the server. I
just about to get a hardy image up and running. Maybe it is better to
wait for a few hours until I can point you to fresh hardy debs?

I'll let the list know when the debs are ready.

Best regards,
