Hi!

is the user password transmitted over the wire in clear text, or in a
way that it could be reversed?
I mean between the evolution-client and the brutus-server.

It is transmitted in cleartext unless you are using Lorica with SSL
enabled.

Is it very difficult to setup Lorica? I think i'll have to take a
serious look at it.

Nope. The configuration file(s) are self-explanatory.
