Hi,

I have checked and there is no firewall on Gentoo and on all nodes between Brutus and Client.
Just to verify the connectivity with Brutus, I have compiled Brutus "C Client" and tried to connect Brutus-server and I am getting the following error.

Configuration file is "../../config/client.conf"
Testing load of configuration file.. OK

IPv4 or IPv6 is supported in ORBit2..

Bootstrapping Brutus..
Getting reference to BrutusLogOn object..
resolving.. OK

Starting Brutus operations..
Logging on using the MAPI profile.. OK
Initializing mailbox.. ** Message: IMAPISession->InitMailbox() : ***@l850: System Exception : IDL:omg.org/CORBA/UNKNOWN:1.0

BTW, I have tried both "EXCHANGE_MAILBOX SMTP:nazeerm-***@public.gmane.org" and "EXCHANGE_MAILBOX OMC nazeerm"

Thank you for your help.

Nazeer
I tried with the Brutus Server 0.9 39.4 and still I couldn?t connect
to exchange using e-b. I have copied the Brutus.log below (removed
informational entries to reduce the message size). It reports a bug
with the following message.
Message : system exception, ID 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/
TRANSIENT:1.0'
OMG minor code (2), described as '*unknown description*', completed =
NO
On the client-side (e-b on Gentoo), whenever I do send/receive, I
getting two dialog boxes: an error dialog box ?unable to contact
Exchange server? and a password dialog box simultaneously. Even after
entering password there is no change.
Any help is appreciated.
The TRANSIENT exception comes when Brutus Server attempts to ping your lifeline object. This does not succeed for some reason. The most usual is an intervening firewall. Do you gentoo box have a firewall activated? If not then somewhere along the route client<-->server there must be a firewall. Lorica is designed to fix this by "tunneling" everything down into one network port. This port must then be open for traffic in both directions between server and client.

Best regards,
jules

This exception is interesting. May I see the server log please?
